The film

Our film is a psychological drama thriller in co-production Panama/Spain. Written, produced, and directed by Frank Spano, the film is an emotional fiction story about the unknown life of the painter Paul Gauguin in Panama and his last days in Tahiti.

We started our tour of international festivals in 2022 at two of the most prestigious: the 67th Seminci Film Festival in Spain (2022) and the 76th Salerno Film Festival in Italy (2022) and winning best movie award. In 2023 we are confirmed at the Chicago Latino Film Festival and the Marchè du Films in Cannes, but our main goal is that you can watch it in your city or on streaming. Write us, be part of our community so you know when you can see it on your screen, and participate in our next Immersive Experience.

Prisoner in his Tahiti cabin by French colonial authorities, legendary painter Paul Gauguin was forced to paint a new masterpiece to save his five-year-old native son as he battles disease and struggles between madness and sanity. He crashed into his memories of Panama traveling and working in the Canal Construction in 1887 and the guilt of abandoning his family in Paris.
